    HOW IT WORKS

    Calculation method

Paid hours equal paid weeks times weekly hours minus additional unpaid hours. Divide gross annual income by paid hours, or multiply hourly pay by paid hours. Annual averages use 12 months and 52 calendar weeks.

    KEEP IN MIND

    Assumptions & limits

    • Example: 70,000 gross annual income / (50 paid weeks × 40 hours) = 35 gross per paid hour.
    • Unpaid hours must not overlap weeks already excluded. No after-tax pay, overtime, benefits or jurisdiction-specific employment rules.
    • Basis: User-entered values.
    • Basis: Standard fixed-payment and time-value-of-money formulas.

Source/rule review year: Not applicable — general mathematical model.
